ONE OWNER. SEPARATE BUSINESSES.

See how your
businesses fit together.

Try adding a company, choosing its bank, and limiting a bookkeeper to that business. This walkthrough uses sample data.

INTERACTIVE SETUP DEMO

Your login is the starting point.

Business profiles sit beneath your owner login. Each keeps its own records and permissions. These profiles do not establish legal parent-company ownership or combine tax returns.

STEP 1 OF 5

Start with your owner account

One sign-in gives you access to the businesses you own. Your bookkeeper has a separate sign-in.

Sample data only. This does not create an account, connect a bank, grant access, or take payment.

WHEN YOU DO IT FOR REAL

Five steps in your live account.

01

Sign in once

Use your owner account. Complete email verification and two-factor setup when prompted.

02

Open All businesses and add a company

Give each business its own name. Switch into it before connecting a bank or importing records.

03

Connect that company’s banks

Open Bank connection and select Add another bank for additional connections. Choose the company’s account when matching a QuickBooks CSV.

04

Give your bookkeeper scoped access

While in that business, open Settings → Business access. Use the bookkeeper’s registered, verified email and choose Viewer or Bookkeeper. They must enable two-factor authentication. Access to other companies stays separate.

05

Bring over the records

An upload-only invitation lets a bookkeeper send files without account access. Supported QuickBooks CSV exports can be previewed, matched, approved, and undone. QBB/QBW backups need a CSV export first.

Personal tax-year profiles and expiring accountant access are now available in the personal tax vault. Document downloads remain locked until malware scanning is operational and a file passes. This sample walkthrough does not expose personal tax documents.
